We are a financial services holding company organized under the laws of Argentina. Grupo Financiero Galicia S.A. was initiated by the members of Escasany, Ayerza and Braun and families and Fundación Banco de Galicia y Bs. As., who were the controlling shareholders of Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires S.A.
Grupo Galicia owns 94.84% of the outstanding shares of Banco Galicia, which is our most significant asset. Total outstanding shares of Grupo Galicia amount to 1.241,4 million shares composed of 281.2 million of Class A shares and 960.2 million of Class B shares. Class A shares entitle 5 votes, Class B shares entitle one vote. The controlling shareholder, EBA Holding, owns the Class A shares, which represents 22.7% of the capital stock and 59.4% of the total votes.
Grupo Galicia Class B shares trade on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange and on the Córdoba Stock Exchange while Grupo Galicia ADSs trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market, both under the ticker symbol "GGAL."One ADR represents 10 Class B shares.
Grupo Galicia is included in the MERVAL Index and, internationally, the Morgan Stanley Capital International and Standard & Poor's indices also include our shares.
